A Room for London, London | England

‘There can be few places to stay a night in London quite as unusual, poetic and life-enhancing as A Room for London Living Architecture’s ‘boat’ perched, as if by retreating floodwaters, on the very edge of the Queen Elizabeth hall at the Southbank Centre.’ © Living Architecture

Unfortunately you can only stay at this award-winning David Kohn Architects-designed ‘hotel’ in August, September and October 2014 – and only if you were successful in a ballot. I wasn’t.

However, still worth a mention. As is the wonderful Living Architecture who ‘offer a chance to rent houses for a holiday designed by some of the most talented architects at work today’.
