Seriously. I was in London last week and as our taxi whizzed by Sir George Gilbert Scott’s 1868 gothic revival railway building fronting St Pancras International Station en route to the Eurostar, I said I would love to stay here (it’s a big hotel).
Now I discover you can actually stay in this architecturally stunning apartment within the Clock Tower for just £150 a night via Airbnb. The host, Peter, looks lovely and when the self-employed actuary is not in London, he’s busy restoring and converting 16th-century buildings in Cambridge.
